Christmas Card Competition with Secondary Schools in Wakefield

You may receive this card this Christmas, a gift from Vision Wakefield and the Cross Project, featuring the wonderful winning logo design by Rubyanne from City fields, from last years secondary school competition. The theme was to encourage more kindness in Wakefield, which we feel was excellently presented in this design! This, like the winning card in 2021, will go to many people through, charities, hospitals and churches in the Wakefield District.

For Christmas 2021, the theme was the different expressions of God’s love. The winner was a student at Outwood Academy in Wakefield.

As well as prizes for the winners of each school, their designs were displayed on a digital van in Wakefield city Centre. The overall winning card was printed and distributed to various charities and organisations in the city,  such as the NHS, Wakefield District City of Sanctuary, Food-banks, CAP, The Night shelter and some nursing homes in Wakefield.

The lead chaplain at Pinderfield’s hospital commented that the card brought great joy to the patients there and is looking forward to giving more out this year!
