Join us for this fun, free event, put on for you and your family by many different Churches and Christian organisations and charities, who have come together to bring some Christmas joy and hope to Wakefield in this season!

Kathy, who came to the event last year, says…

“On one Saturday in December 2022, the Treacy Hall became a Christmas retreat, giving passers-by a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and relax, if even just for a short while. It was good to see the place buzzing with people of all ages enjoying refreshments, making crafts, and generally enjoying each other’s company.

There were times when not only the Treacy Hall but also the Cathedral and the precinct echoed with Christmas carols, which were appreciated by those passing by. It’s great to be able to repeat this event in 2023 and we hope to meet and greet many more Christmas shoppers and give them a chance to take a break from the traditional hubbub of Christmas and enjoy something a little different.”

Christmas? A story of hope. Uncertain times are difficult. When God gave His son, Jesus, He gave hope. He is the light in our darkness.
