Schools Christmas Card Competition

The word ‘love’ brings up different thoughts and feelings for all of us, but what comes to mind when you think of God’s love for you? This year some of Wakefield’s secondary school students are competing to design a Christmas card that illustrates either God’s love for us individually, God’s love for the whole world or how God’s love can shine through us to others.

We are delighted to announce the Christmas card winners below! They will also be displayed on digital vans around Wakefield and outside Wakefield Cathedral from Saturday 18th until Tuesday 21st of December! Students will be awarded when they go back to school in the new year.

For some, Christmas is a time of fun, family and festivities. For others it’s a time of loneliness and difficulty, but at the centre of the Christmas message is God’s real love for all of us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, we want you to know that whatever you may be going through in your life, God is with you and God is love. May you experience that love in a way that you have never experienced before. Please don’t hesitate to contact us or to send a prayer request if you would like some prayer.

Christmas 2020

Many in Wakefield experienced a Christmas last year unlike any other. In the middle of it though, hope still springs eternal. Below are some of the clips from last years online Christmas service where we saw many of the great things happening and heartwarming stories from around Wakefield.
